Letter: In Brief

Sir: From the indignant tone of Ms Barbara A Watts' letter (5 October) one would think that Malaysia pioneered police brutality by "pulping" Anwar Ibrahim. If the Malaysian government were to impose trade sanctions on the British "regime" for the death of black suspects in police custody, Ms Watts would not have the PC on which she typed her letter or the tyres which took her to the post office.
