Sir: How refreshing to read a well-observed and informed article about the public image of the Prince of Wales ("Please stop this torturing of the unfortunate Prince of Wales", 12 November).

While I agree with the plea to let the royal personalities alone, the solution rests, in this case, with the Prince alone. He should make up his mind whether he wants to be King or to live a more secluded and happy life with his loved ones.
