Sir: Your claim that "Central Trains has had to re-evaluate its proposed new rolling stock after one of its test trains was jammed at Stamford" is simply fiction ("Thirty reasons why passengers are unhappy", 28 July). Our new class 170 Turbostar trains run through Stamford on a daily basis on shakedown runs prior to their formal acceptance for passenger service.
