Sir: Some decades ago London Bridge was considered desirable enough by the Americans for them to dismantle it, ship it several thousand miles across the Atlantic and rebuild it in a remote corner of Arizona. If the twin towers of Wembley stadium really are such an important part of our heritage, is it beyond the ability of modern technology to move them a few yards (or build identical copies), so that they can form part of an enlarged modern stadium?
