Sir: Your article on local radio was excellent and timely (The Independent Magazine, 24 April). However, your reference to Premier Radio as Britain's first Christian radio station is incorrect. United Christian Broadcasters (UCB Europe) began local broadcasting in 1987 from the Isle of Man, then gained a licence in 1993 to broadcast to the UK, Ireland and Europe on the Astra Satellite, Sky Sports 1, 7.56Mhz. We would like to express our support and enthusiasm for the work that Premier are doing to share the Christian message to the people of London.
