Letter: Off the buses
Sir: Buses which have reduced capacity in order to accommodate wheelchair access have become increasingly common. Yet in all my time using London Transport, I have yet to see one wheelchair user on these "disabled-enabled" buses. I fully support ramps outside public buildings and other "access" initiatives. But with separate "dial-a-ride" services for the disabled, are we being sensible in limiting bus capacity in this politically correct way?
