Sir: You report Mr Blair as having told Le Monde that the arrest of General Pinochet was "simply the result of two judicial systems, Spanish and British, joined together by an extradition treaty" ("Free him now, says Thatcher", 22 October).

Why, then, can't we get some of our own thugs back from the Costa del Sol, to stand trial here?
