Sir: Amid the debate on child poverty and the sexual morality of girls aged 12 who have babies, the death of Alan Clark is announced. MPs and commentators seem to accept Mr Clark's wanderings from his marriage bed. He is seen as a bit of a rough diamond but not all that bad at bottom.
As usual, it is a case of "Don't do as we do, do as we say." It would seem that the reason our leaders are outraged at the morals of the masses is that they have the cheek to do it whilst claiming benefit.
