Sir: You are absolutely right. Military force has to be used against Slobodan Milosevic to stop the killing in Kosovo (leading article, 6 October), but by whom?
Russia seems to be the stumbling block. Perhaps we should remind Russia of the fate shared by millions of their people at the hands of the Nazis for similar racial reasons, and ask them to intervene.
This would avoid the problem of being seen to meddle in Russia's perceived sphere of influence. One word from Moscow and the bloodshed would stop.
