Letter: Sunrise

Sir: Before rushing to question my memory, Simon Walker (letter, 20 November) should have finished my article about The Sun (18 November). He would then have come across the reference to "the 30 years since it was bought for a song by Rupert Murdoch from Hugh Cudlipp's Mirror Group". Far from being ignorant of The Sun's early history, I was on its staff from its creation in 1964 until Mr Murdoch acquired it.
