Sir: Your lofty leading article about fatness and bullying (8 October) is indignant because some advertising reflected demeaning attitudes to people's shape and size. Six pages later you have a cheap snigger at the thought of "Matron Widdecombe" squeezing into a designer chair ("Sit down and make a political statement"). You should be ashamed.
