Sir: Having heard and read about the plans for a "jazzed-up" version of the National Anthem to welcome the new millennium, on the grounds that the usual version sounds "leaden" (report, 5 November), I assume it can only be a matter of time before we hear of plans to re-present Mozart's Requiem in a way that makes it sound "less funereal".
