Letters: Holocaust Day
Sir: The notion of a Holocaust Remembrance Day is admirable provided there is no sub-text (leading article, 1 July; letter, 2 July). Six million Jews were murdered systematically in the most evil act of genocide prosecuted this century. The danger is the equation of other acts of mass murder with this unique episode in mankind's shameful history, and the subsequent issuing of a moral licence to Nato execute further killing of civilians in its name.
