Sir: Deborah Orr's excellent article "A blueprint for the rich" (29 June) focuses on the most significant aspects of inner-city regeneration. Families deserve urban revitalisation which enhances quality of life in ways accessible to everyone. However, I would like to make it clear that the proposals for redevelopment of Spring Gardens do not provide for the closure of Vauxhall City Farm. Indeed the farm is engaged in a rebuilding programme, funded by a lottery grant, to provide high-standard housing for all its animal inhabitants.
