FIRST there was Wagner's Ring in four operas, then City of Birmingham Touring Opera's Ring in two evenings, and David Bedford's in one minute. Now comes the Ring for orchestra without voices, in 50 minutes. Henk de Vlieger adapted it, and Edo de Waart has conducted it: the Dutch television recording emerged at last month's Midem trade fair in Cannes.
