OVER at Classic FM, which goes on air in September, they have come up with a logo which features a prominent f. Italic f means forte for loud, you see. Just like it does at Faber Music, where an almost identical f in a very similar shade of red has been the logo for some years, doubled up: ff for fortissimo. 'Purely coincidental,' says an amused spokesperson for the radio station. And Faber Music says it has certainly not taken a stake in the new enterprise. All they have in common is the designer, John McConnell of Pentagram.
