Don't look back in hunger: Musicians reveal their favourite foods in Rockstar Cookbook

Who would have thought that bad boy musician Noel Gallagher once had a Yorkshire Tea habit? Or that Razorlight partly chose to sign with Universal because the label took them out for a better dinner than their rivals? Both feature in Love Music Love Food – the Rockstar Cookbook, published in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The book, three years in the making, is the brainchild of food photographer Patrice de Villiers. "I was chatting to Muse about my work after a gig and Matt Bellamy told me he makes his own pasta. I'd just seen him being screamed at by fans like a rock god and then I was picturing him pootling home to cook up an epicurean feast. I like that juxtaposition," he explains.
Portraits include Paloma Faith dressed as a mermaid on a beach of paella and V V Brown smeared and dripping in marmite. Which foods were the most popular? "Curry and sushi. I shot so many people with curry..." says De Villiers.
'Love Music, Love Food: The Rock Star Cookbook', is published by Quadrille (£30) on 5 September ( www.teenagecancertrustshop.org)
