Folk gigs of the week: Larkin Poe + Blair Dunlop, various venues
Blair Dunlop is guitarist/singer in the new Albion Band, son of Ashley Hutchings and the boy who played young Willy Wonka to Johnny Depp's grown-up.
Larkin Poe are Rebecca and Megan Lovell, strikingly good singers, writers and players who recorded a fine album with Thom Hell, The Sound of the Ocean Sound. Their work on Dunlop's debut, Blight and Blossom, has led to a co-headline tour, where they'll play together and separately.
