Music Box #14: Feeder

Feeder frontman Grant Nicholas stopped by the Music Box studio to perform one of the band's most beloved tracks, along with two tracks from Arrow: a new album accompanying the band's definitive 'best of' collection.

Feeder: The Best Of is being released on 29 September via BMG records and will see a comprehensive new collection that includes a 4 disc vinyl, deluxe CD collection and the brand new nine-track album Arrow.

The record is being supported by a 2018 UK tour which will take in dates at the O2 Academy in Bristol, Barrowlands in Glasgow, Rock City in Nottingham, and the O2 Brixton Academy in London.

“It’s a workout, trying to sing songs you wrote 20 years ago," Grant explained in an interview last year. But I’ve managed to pull it off so far. And I’m singing differently now, I’ll still belt it out, but I want it to be a bit more soulful in some way. I love singers like Johnny Cash and Nick Cave, and Josh Homme… a bit more croony.

"And as you get older I find your voice suits that delivery a bit more. It’s getting the balance right, which is a tough one for me.“

For the Music Box session Grant performed "Just The Way I'm Feeling", "Figure You Out", and their new single "Veins".
