Grammys 2018: #TimesUp dominated conversation on the red carpet

Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and more donned white roses in support of the movement

#TimesUp was the central conversation on the red carpet at the 2018 Grammys.

The awards ceremony honouring the top musicians, albums and songs followed in the Golden Globes' footsteps when it came to supporting the women's equality movement.

Instead of wearing all black, attendees who supported the movement were asked to wear white roses.

E! Red carpet hosts Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest asked several artists who were wearing white roses to discuss why they were choosing to support the #TimesUp movement.

While Lady Gaga appeared wearing a snake ring - making Taylor Swift conspiracy theorists run wild - she also donned a white rose to go along with her classic black bodysuit.

Nick Jonas also wore a white rose and spoke out about the #TimesUp movement on the red carpet saying, "As a man I think it's important to listen and to be ready to listen and to do our part where we can, when we can to raise awareness and stand in solidarity on an incredibly important issue. It's affecting so many people's lives. And if we can do our part here tonight, it's a good thing."

Bebe Rexha was relishing her first time at the Grammys, alluding to something "very special" she had coming up at the Grammys for female empowerment.

She told Rancic of her own experiences in a male-dominated industry, "I was always in the room with men, always men. Male producer, male engineer, male writer, all males; I was the only female. And now females only have 16 per cent of radio... 83 per cent of males are overtaking radio."

Rexha then added, "I don't want to compete I want to uplift the newer girls coming in, that's what we gotta do. We gotta make it 50-50."

Camila Cabello held a white rose in her hand and compared her "baby" white rose to Jonas' bigger "grown-up" white rose.

​Khalid and Sam Smith showed solidarity with #TimesUp with white roses adorning their Grammys get-ups.

It was great to see to so many artists supporting the movement.
