American indie band Bon Iver, fronted by folk singer/songwriter Justin Vernon, is a hot topic in the music blogosphere with the release of their sophomore self-titled album, due out Tuesday. Other top acts on The Hype Machine's most-blogged chart on June 21 include R&B artist The Weeknd, in the number one spot, and rap legends Beastie Boys.

Bloggers have been blogging about Bon Iver's recent performance on the US television show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The band played a track, a cover of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me," that is set to be included on the album, along with the single "Calgary." "Bon Iver's cover...is beautiful, showcasing Vernon's haunting and awe-inspiring voice," writes blogger This Bonus Track (thisbonustrack.com).

Beastie Boys return to the music blogosphere with a remix by Major Lazer (a side project of DJs Diplo and Switch) of "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" featuring Santigold. Music site Consequence of Sound (consequenceofsound.net) writes that the remix "adds some Caribbean jerk to the boys' already spicy hip-hop tabikha."
