Active Child, Los Angeles-based songwriter Pat Grossi, climbs into the most blogged artists chart as his upcoming album streams on The Hype Machine. American dance punk band The Rapture also claims a top spot in The Hype Machine's chart on August 17 as buzz continues to build around the band's upcoming album, In the Grace of Your Love.

Active Child is set to release his debut album You Are All I See on the label Vagrant on August 23, and bloggers have been reviewing the album since its was made available to listen to online. Blogger RCRD LBL raves that the new material is an "astounding offering from dreampop's most interesting act." Music blogger Informal Flick Thru adds, "The best music always sounds completely unique, and there sure as hell isn't anything like this around at the moment."

New York City band The Rapture, which signed with LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy's label DFA, recently offered up its new single, "How Deep Is Your Love?," as a free MP3. The track is set to be included on the band's upcoming album, set to drop September 4 in the UK and September 5 in the US. "Built around a piano riff, 'How Deep Is Your Love?' recalls commercial house music in the early 90s," writes blogger Faded Glamour.
