American indie act Gauntlet Hair debuts in The Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart with a new track from the band's upcoming self-titled debut album. Meanwhile, buzz continues to build around Texas chillwave band Neon Indian, which climbs into the top spot in the chart on August 1.

Denver noise-pop duo Gauntlet Hair have followed up the release of a slew of 7-inch singles with a new track called "Top Bunk" from their upcoming album, set to release October 17 in the UK and October 18 in the US. The new song, available as a free download, "is a totally fantastic album cut," writes We All Want Someone to Shout For, adding "it's gritty and grinds towards an epic finish."

Neon Indian, the project of Mexican-born musician and composer Alan Palomo, is releasing the band's new album and follow up to 2009's Psychic Charms on September 13 via his own label, Static Tongues. To tease the new album, Neon Indian released "Fallout," which "sees Palomo siphoning more hazy, post-80s synth freakouts that made his debut all the more captivating," writes blog The Smoking Section.
