Farm Aid founders Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp are gathering their musical friends to mark the 25th anniversary of the music festival, October 2 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with headliners including the organization's board members, the Dave Matthews Band and Neil Young.
Other acts joining the line-up include Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Jeff Tweedy, Band of Horses, The BoDeans, Amos Lee and Robert Francis.
The all-day concert benefits family farms and local, organic foods in an effort to support an alternative to an industrialized agriculture-centered economy.
An auction of 25 years of Farm Aid Festival memorabilia occurs September 7 with bidding taking place at http://3.ly/farmaid. Also visit on October 2 to obtain the items from over the past 25 years with proceeds benefiting Farm Aid.
Tickets for Farm Aid 25 are on sale online at www.tickets.com. Ticket prices range from $39.50 to $97.50. The show will be telecast live on DirecTV satellite service.
