From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

This is tenth year the event will take place, and will be Britney Spears first concert in the UK since 2011. "I'm so excited to go back to London, which is a special place for me to visit. It's going to be a great party," she said of the show.

Apple's Oliver Schusser said of the festival: ”Over the past decade, the festival has brought the biggest and best artists from all over the world to London and into the homes of millions of music fans.
“This year's Apple Music Festival builds on that incredible legacy and we couldn't be more excited to have another amazing line-up to celebrate our 10th birthday." Apple Music Festival starts on the 18 September and runs for 10 days.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears recently took part in Carpool Karaoke with James Corden; she has been accused of lip-syncing on the show.
