Ariana Grande confirms break from music following rapper Mac Miller's death

'I’m doing my best to keep going'

Ariana Grande has told fans she has “been through hell and back” since the death of rapper Mac Miller, her ex-boyfriend.

The 25-year-old posted a fake video for the song “Breathin’” online, which sees her and fiancé Pete Davidson’s pet pig Piggy Smallz walking around for more than three minutes.

One fan wrote in response that “this era is a joke and lazy” to which Grande replied: “This era is beautiful to me but [I don’t know].”

“Been through hell and back and I’m doing my best to keep going,” she continued,

“Thought this would make you laugh while you wait for the real one because I took a break to take care of myself for a little while.”

Grande paid tribute to Miller last month, a week after the rapper died following a reported overdose.

“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will,” Grande wrote in tribute. “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. So many times.

“I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else.

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”

A representative for Grande recently said she would be taking some “much needed time to heal and mend” after both Miller’s death and last year’s Manchester Arena terror attack.
