After Tiffany Haddish revealed to the world that a mysterious, unnamed actress took a literal bite out of Beyoncé while attending a party, social media was been ablaze asking “Who bit Beyoncé?”

Various names have been thrown around, many publications speculating that Sanaa Lathan may have been the culprit — she has since denied taking the bite.

After hours of speculation, someone has finally admitted to biting the famed musician: Sarah Michelle Gellar, the actor behind Buffy the Vampire’s titular character.

“All right, I admit it. It was me #TheBiter,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself with fangs showing.

Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, the post was entirely in jest, and the Beyoncé biter remains at large.

Haddish initially told the story to GQ, explaining how an “actress” attending a star-studded “bit Beyoncé in the face”.

“Near the end of the party,” Haddish told the publication, “Beyoncé's at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don't do that. That b***h is on drugs. She not even drunk. The b***h is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’”
