Beyoncé shares a powerful message during One World: Together at Home event

Beyoncé has teamed up with rapper Megan Thee Stallion on a remix of the latter’s viral song “Savage”.

The remix, which includes multiple new verses, was released on Wednesday (29 April), and all proceeds from the track will go towards coronavirus relief efforts in Houston, Texas, where both artists are from.

“I’m f***ing crying rn [right now] HOUSTON WE ON,” Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete) tweeted.

The song soon began trending and quickly went to No1 on Apple Music.

Megan Thee Stallion, who had a hit last year with “Hot Girl Summer”, took to Instagram Live to share an emotional message about how her late mother was a fan of Beyoncé.

“Savage” was originally released as part of Megan Thee Stallion’s Suga EP in March.

The song went viral on TikTok, with a special dance created for the track’s chorus proving popular with users of the platform.

In September, Megan Thee Stallion signed a management deal with Roc Nation, the entertainment agency founded by fellow American rapper Jay-Z, who is married to Beyoncé.
