He liked it, so he put a ring on it.

Pretty straightforward, except for the fact the he in question did it in front of a crowd of 1,000s of Beyoncé fans, and with a little help from the superstar artist herself. In the midst of her performance of 'Single Ladies' during her stop at St. Louis, Beyoncé paused the music so choreographer John Silver could take to the stage, proposing to the singer's dance captain Ashley Everett.

"I think there's somebody I'd like to bring on the stage," Beyoncé teased in a pause in the performance of her hit 2008 single, playing around with the crowd in anticipation of her special guest; Silver then jumped on stage, addressing both Everett and the cheering masses.

"She’s my queen, so I feel like it’s only right to come out here in my hometown," Silver said, before dropping to one knee to propose. Everett accepted, as the pair shared hugs between Beyoncé and the rest of the dancers.

"Now let’s see you do the choreography after that," Beyoncé joked; yet, ever the professional team, Everett and her crew quickly launched into the final steps of the number. Steps which conveniently allowed Everett to flash her brand new ring to the crowd.

The St. Louis show marked Beyoncé's return to the stage after a month's break following the end of her European tour; a chance for her to celebrate her 35th birthday with a 1970s-themed fancy dress party based around the US TV show Soul Train.
