Bloc Party: Watch the exclusive video for latest song Stunt Queen
We caught up with frontman Kele Okereke to discuss what's next for the indie quartet

In the same year that saw the release of fifth record HYMNS, Bloc Party unveiled new track "Stunt Queen" which was written and recorded by all four band members led by Kele Okereke.
The new song came accompanied with news of a show at London's Roundhouse on 10 February; a second date was set for the following night, both going on to sell out.
A date at Manchester's Albert Hall has also been set for 8 February 2017 with tickets due to go on sale this Friday (28 October).
You can exclusively watch the video for "Stunt Queen" below.
We caught up with Bloc Party frontman Okereke to discuss the band's latest track.
What’s the story behind "Stunt Queen"?
KO: This song is an ode to the council estate behind my house in Brixton. This estate seems to be busy all hours of the night with all sorts of types coming and going. Lyrically, I wanted to try and capture that sense of an underworld in motion.
How did writing and recording the song differ from the songs on HYMNS?
KO: It was a completely different process. HYMNS started life as a studio project between Russell [Lissack, lead guitarist] and I, and we were very conscious about capturing subtle moments. "Stunt Queen" was written on the road whilst we were in full on rock band mode. Because of that I feel that the track has more of a live feel than HYMNS.
Are you working on more new material and what can we expect from the next record?
KO: Yes, we have recorded a handful of songs and plan to record a few more at the start of the new year. Right now they all feel very different to each other, which is kind of exciting as I've got no idea what the next record is going to sound like - but that’s part of the fun of making records.
The video of "Stunt Queen" was shot during the band's North American tour this summer and includes stage headline appearances at Lollapalooza and Governors Ball; it was directed by Rachael Wright.
