New trailer for Beyonce's visual album Black is King

The latest trailer for Beyoncé’s visual album, Black is King, has been released.

Ahead of the film’s Disney+ premiere on Friday (31 July), the singer shared a new teaser trailer to her Instagram.

In one clip, Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who she shares with Jay-Z, is seen smiling at the camera in a pearl necklace.

The eight-year-old recently became the youngest ever BET Award winner after she appeared on the song “Brown Skin Girl” alongside her parents as well as Wizkid and SAINT JHN.

The track features on Beyoncé’s 2019 album The Gift, which was inspired by Disney’s 2019 remake of The Lion King, and will underscore Black is King.

The film has been described as “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience” and has been written, directed and executive produced by Beyoncé.

The visual album aims to “highlight the beauty of tradition and Black excellence”, while re-imagining lessons from The Lion King “for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns”,
