Brit Awards 2014: One Direction win Best British Video in the first Brits Twitter vote
A somewhat predictable triumph judging by fans' reactions on Twitter

One Direction have added to their earlier Brits win for Global Success by taking home the Best British Video trophy too.
Chosen by the fans, the X Factor boyband were a hot favourite for the award, which was decided by the Brit Awards' first ever social media vote.
Voting opened when the show began at 8pm, with each nominated artist assigned their own Twitter hashtag. The Brit Awards 2014 is the first major awards show of its scale to be broadcast globally by YouTube.
But the other nominees - British Female winner Ellie Goulding, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, Naughty Boy and Sam Smith and John Newman - never stood a chance, let's be honest. Such is the force of the 'Directioners'.
Speaking of One Direction's dedicated (some would say crazy) fanbase, take a look at some of the tweets being sent throughout the live Brits ceremony at London's O2 Arena.
