Bruce Springsteen has had an incredible career, having recorded 18 studio albums, written well over 300 songs, and recently releasing a biography.

While promoting the book on Stephen Colbert’s late night show, The Boss revealed which five songs from his career were his favourite.

"That's a tough one,” Springsteen he told the audience. "I got to put “Born to Run” up there. I guess for me, “The Rising” is a big song. What do we play every night? We play “Thunder Road” really regularly. “Nebraska,” that was a good one.”

Picking the final song proved a challenge, however, with members of the audience calling out song names at the singer. Eventually, though, Springsteen settled on “Racing in the Street,” quickly changing from the song “Jungleland.”

(In case you didn’t read all that, his top five are: “Born To Run,” “The Rising,” “Thunder Road,” “Nebraska,” and “Racing in the Street.”)

Meanwhile, Springsteen recently called Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump a “moron,” adding he was a “tragedy for our democracy”.

The 67-year-old also accused the real-estate mogul of having “simple answers to very complex problems” and suggested these “fallacious answers” might just be part of his appeal with voters.
