A documentary following the K-pop group BTS on their 2017 concert tour will be released on the YouTube Premium service this Friday, according to Variety.

Burn the Stage: The Movie follows on from the YouTube original series BTS: Burn the Stage. It was released in theatres worldwide last November, drawing more than 2m fans in more than 70 countries and regions.

The 83-minute documentary features additional footage not featured in the series, including narration, studio interviews, and an appearance by Bang Si-Hyuk, CEO of BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment.

The YouTube release will also feature an exclusive five-minute highlight reel and fans will be able to participate in the release countdown using YouTube’s global live-chat function to connect with other fans.

Burn the Stage: The Movie will be released on YouTube Premium on 18 January at 11pm KST/9am EST.

BTS will release a new concert film, BTS World Tour Love Yourself in Seoul, this month.

It will have the widest event cinema release in history, slated to hit 3,8000 theatres across 95 countries as part of a one-day release on Saturday 26 January.
