Cardi B announces split from husband Offset: 'I guess we fell out of love'
Rapper gave birth to their daughter, Kulture, in July
Cardi B has revealed she has split from her husband Offset, in a video announcement posted on Instagram.
"I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father… we’re really good friends, we’re really good business partners and he’s always somebody I run to, to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other,” the rapper said in the video.
“But things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time, and it’s nobody’s fault, I guess we fell out of love," she continued.
"We’re not together anymore. It might take time to get a divorce and I’m always gonna have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
Cardi gave birth to the couple's daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July. Her debut album Invasion of Privacy received critical acclaim and broke several music industry records. The Independent recently named it as one of the albums of the year 2018.
Offset was quick to comment on Cardi’s post, writing: “Y'all won,” leading some fans to wonder whether the revelation is some kind of publicity stunt.
Shortly after Cardi’s announcement, Offset revealed on Instagram Stories that he will be “dropping a song tomo”.
