Janelle Monae, the 1975, DJ Snake, Solange, Kid Cudi, Weezer, Khalid, and Zedd are also set to perform
Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala will headline this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the Californian desert.
The line-up for the 2019 edition of Coachella has been revealed in full, posted to the festival’s social media pages by organisers Goldenvoice. This year, the festival will be held over back-to-back weekends 12-14 April and 19-21 April. Tickets are sold out.
The two Fridays, 12 and 19 April, will see rapper Childish Gambino headline, with Janelle Monáe, the 1975, DJ Snake, Diplo, Rüfüs Du Sol, Blackpink, Anderson Paak, and Kacey Musgraves among those performing.
On the Saturdays, 13 and 20 April, Tame Impala will headline days featuring Solange, Kid Cudi, Weezer, Aphex Twin, J Balvin, Billie Eilish, Bassnectar, Four Tet, Christine and the Queens, Wiz Khalifa, and Mac DeMarco.
Coachella’s Sunday line-up, on 14 and 21 April, will conclude with a headline set from Ariana Grande, alongside performances from Khalid, Zedd, Gesaffelstein, Bad Bunny, Dillon Francis, and CHVRCHES.
Kanye West had been heavily rumoured to headline this year, alongside Justin Timberlake. TMZ previously claimed that Kanye had been attached to headline, but dropped out over a dispute over the stage’s size and design.
Coachella is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, having been founded in 1999, although technically the festival was not held in 2000.
