Coldplay are back – and under a new band name.

Parlophone records announced they had signed a mysterious group called Los Unidades on Wednesday (26 November), posting a blurred image of four people on Twitter.

The image was tagged ”Y02LPAC81ODL”, which fans soon noted was an anagram for Coldplay 2018.

Fans soon discovered that the band’s legal trademark lists the owners of Lost Unidades as Coldplay members Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman. The trademark claim was made a year ago, following their A Head Full of Dreams tour.

Parlophone later released the first track by Lost Unidades – a collaboration with Pharrell titled “E-Lo” featuring Martin’s distinctive vocals.

The official Coldplay Twitter account soon revealed that the track was part of the an EP for Global Citizens, curated by Martin.

The track-listing includes two other songs by Los Unidades, with featured artists including Stormzy, Danny Ocean and David Guetta.

Full track-listing for Global Citizen EP 1:

“Rise Up (feat. Nelson Mandela)” – Stargate

“E-Lo (feat. Jozzy)” – Los Unidades & Pharrell Williams

“Timbuktu (feat. Stormzy & Jess Kent)” – Cassper Nyovest & Los Unidades

“Voodoo (feat. Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Danny Ocean & David Guetta)” – Stargate & Los Unidades
