One of the nicest men in music surprised London commuters when he performed an acoustic version of his hit song "7 Days" along with new single "Magic" from top 10 album The Time Is Now.

Craig David was filmed performing for passengers on a double-decker bus as it drove through London.

The singer had tweeted earlier in the day to say he was about to do a "special acoustic set" that would be streamed to Facebook, but did not elaborate where it would take place.

In the footage he can be seen waiting at a bus stop with his guitarist where he says to the camera: "What we're going to do is we're going to jump on the bus and give the passengers a little private performance -low-key - we're just going to freestyle it."

Once he's on the bus he begins talking to the passengers, who thought they were taking part in a market research exercise, but quickly realise who he is.

"I think bus journeys need to be more like this," David says as he finishes his performance.

Speaking to The Independent about the wealth of guest features on his new album last year, David said: "It's so easy to go with established collaborations, but I love this, because I just think in a couple of years where AJ Tracey blows up and Kaytranada becomes like the new Pharrell... And it was also to make sure the songs stand up on their own. Sometimes I've heard collaborations where on paper it sounds alright, and I've bought into the hype, but if you stripped it back and thought: If this was a brand new artist would you be into that song?"
