The posthumous 75th birthday of late American rock and roll icon Elvis Presley (January 8) will be celebrated on December 8 with the release of a 100-song box set entitled Elvis 75: Good Rockin' Tonight, according to Sony Legacy Recordings.

A single-disc edition CD goes on sale three days before Presley's birth date, on January 5, 2010. The Elvis 75: Good Rockin' Tonight box set includes an 80-page booklet of rare photographs and an essay by American music journalist Billy Altman. Presley remains one of the best-selling solo artists in pop music, with sales of over 600 million albums worldwide.
