Fat White Family sign to Domino Records, label is 'delighted, if slightly nervous'
'Fat White Family are the most exciting, influential and talked about band to come out of this country in the last few years'
Fat White Family have finally found a label that (thinks it) can handle them.
Domino Records has announced that the south London psycho-rock band have been signed to the label, fresh after a UK tour that ended in a sold-out headline show at Brixton Academy.
Label co-founder Laurence Bell said: "Anyone with a nose for genuine rock & roll already knows that Fat White Family are plainly the most exciting, influential and talked about band to come out of this country in the last few years.
"We are delighted, if slightly nervous, at the prospect of taking them to the next level."
The Fat Whites are currently working on new material.
Already-infamous for their outrageous live performances, the band have attracted both controversy and critical raves thanks to music that is confrontational, dangeous and often downright dirty.
On their second LP, 2016's Songs for Our Mothers, songs addressed everything from Harold Shipman to Joseph Goebbels, along with a take on the violent relationship between Ike and Tina Turner.
