Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard covers Velvet Underground at a show in Brooklyn
Actor is releasing an EP with his band Calpurnia next month

Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard and his band Calpurnia performed a set at Brooklyn's Rough Trade NYC last week, playing a number of covers plus original songs from their upcoming EP.
In a video from Rolling Stone the band play a decent rendition of Velvet Underground's "Here She Comes Now" off the band's second album White Light/White Heat, which was once covered by Nirvana.
Wolfhard is seen quipping: "This song goes out to Lou Reed... and Hulk Hogan" at the beginning of the track, later encouraging the crowd to dance during the choruses.
During the gig Calpurnia also covered "Where Is My Mind" by Pixies, Weezer's "El Scorcho" and Twin Peaks' "Butterfly". Their debut EP is due out later this month.
According to the band, the EP paves the way for their full-length album, which will be recorded later this year and released via Royal Mountain Records.
Wolfhard has said of his introduction to music: "My dad and my mum used ot play that kind of music in the car when I was a baby. And then my mum introduced me to the Beatles, and I got obsessed... and then I just went from there.
"I would also search the web: you know how one video leads to another leads to another? It was kind of like that, but with songs. A Beatles song led to a Led Zeppelin song, and then a Led Zeppelin song led to the Rolling Stones."
