Foo Fighters managed to sell out their massive UK stadium tour in just four hours.

The US rock band shifted 200,000 tickets in that time for the shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and London Stadium.

Dave Grohl said: "Hey UK... what better way to wake up than a hot, black coffee and 3 sold out stadiums. Unreal! You've always made us feel so at home there. Now it's our turn to give it back.

"We're gonna light these motherf***ers up... See you there, Dave."

The band will perform one night at Etihad Stadium in Manchester on 19 June 2018, and two nights at London Stadium, on 22 and 23 June.

Chris York, from the band's UK promoters SJM, added: "Incredible sales for Foo Fighters 2018 tour. Shows the depth and passion of their brilliant fanbase in the UK and a reflection of how amazing the band are live.

"Looking forward to what will be an unbelievable run of shows. Congratulations to the band and everyone involved with making this such a phenomenal success. Once again!"

Foo Fighters recently achieved a UK No.1 with their album Concrete and Gold, selling in excess of 100,000 copies. It is the fourth time in the band's storied career that they have achieved the feat.
