Governors Ball: Full music festival lineup and how to get there

Each June, one of New York’s biggest music festivals - Governors Ball - takes place in the city featuring some of the most popular acts in rock, pop and hip-hop.

Now going into its seventh year, the festival is set to kick off the summer music season next week.

Here’s everything you need to know about Governors Ball before it happens.

When is it?

This year’s event will take place Friday June 1 through Sunday June 3 from 12.15pm until 11.00pm.

Who are the headliners?

Jack White headlines the event on Friday, while the main acts on Saturday and Sunday are Travis Scott and Eminem respectively.

Who else is performing?

Artists including Jack White, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Shawn Mendes, James Blake and Post Malone will perform on Friday. Saturday’s lineup features Halsey, Kelela, Brockhampton, Japandroids and Galantis, while Sunday’s concerts include CHVRCHES, Khalid, Billie Eilish, N.E.R.D and Margo Price. Where is it happening?

The three-day music festival takes place every year on Randall’s Island in New York.

How do I get there?

Governors Ball offers packages for ferry rides in Manhattan and shuttle buses from Brooklyn to get to the festival. Should you choose not to purchase either of these packages, attendees can take the 4/5/6 trains to 125th Street and transfer to the x80 Special Event Bus or walk across the RFK bridge for 20 minutes.
