Hillary Clinton, John Legend and Cardi B read Fire and Fury at the Grammys 2018

Hillary Clinton made an unexpected appearance at Sunday night's Grammy Awards during a dramatic reading of Fire And Fury.

The former presidential candidate and Secretary of State read alongside Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Snoop Dogg, Cher and John Legend, who all took jabs at President Trump.

The comedy skit was set around Grammy host James Corden having the stars audition for a role reading the book in order to win next year's award for Best Spoken Word Album.

In the pre-taped bit, Clinton's face was masked at first by the controversial book, but after she lowered it, she was met with a ton of applause.

For Clinton's excerpt, she read about Trump's fast food fetish saying, "He had a longtime fear of being poisoned. One reason why he liked to eat at McDonalds. No one knew he was coming and the food was safely pre-made."

Since its release, the Michael Wolff book has sold 1.7m copies.

While many people found the reading hilarious, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley did not.

She tweeted, "I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don't ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it."

This wasn't the only time Haley got upset with Fire And Fury: she said that rumours surrounding an affair with Trump alleged in the book were "absolutely not true."

Watching this sketch is worth it for the diverse array of personalities at the very least.
