Grimes has returned with a music video for ‘Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream’, a pop banger taken from her upcoming album 'Art Angels'.

She is wild and voracious when it comes to aesthetics, and the video is a pastiche/clash of many different styles, cultures and historical reference points, at one point seeing her dance on a neon pink tennis court dressed as Marie Antoinette covered in blood.

The first act of the video also sees her jumping up and down on a bed covered in dollar bills and rose petals wearing a cowboy hat and angel wings, while the second - a more sombre track - sees her staggering along a road having been stabbed.

The characters she plays in the video (which she wrote, directed, edited, colored, and art-directed) are apparently called LV., Roccoco Basilisk, Kill V. Maim, and Skreechy Bat.

Her new album, Art Angels, is set to be released on 6 November.
