Guns N' Roses made over $100 million on their Not in This Lifetime… Tour

While Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagen may have been ambivalent about reuniting as Guns N’ Roses beforehand, there are no questions surrounding whether it was worthwhile.

According to Billboard, the band grossed $116.8 million from the North American leg of their Not in This Lifetime… Tour (that’s almost £90 million between 23 June and 22 August, playing in 21 stadiums over 25 shows).

What’s more, the band are setting off to tour Latin America this fall, with dates lined up in 11 cities across the continent.

Following those dates, Rose, Slash, and McKagen - who previously hadn’t played together since 1993 - will embark on a tour of Asia and Australia.

This year’s second highest grossing tour is Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, who made $33,632,390 (£25.2 million) from five shows. Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, and Kenny Chesney come in third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses have yet to play any European dates but are heavily rumoured to be headlining Download festival. Earlier this year, Axl Rose toured with AC/DC, no doubt adding millions more to the singer’s bank balance.
