Justin Timberlake has attempted his very own version of Pharrell Williams 'Happy' with new track
The most overplayed song of the summer has landed
The chief song for a new animated film? A foot-tapping beat? A catchy hook you'll be humming all summer long? Check, check and check. It's official: newly released Justin Timberlake song "Can't Stop the Feeling" is 2016's answer to Pharrell Williams' "Happy."
The track serves as the tie-in song for new DreamWorks Animation Trolls which Timberlake himself stars in - and after just one listen, it's clear the tune is bound to take over the airwaves in a similar vein to what Williams' track did back in 2014.
"Happy" - the official song for Despicable Me 2 - went on to become the year's biggest-selling hit and even earned an Oscar nomination (it lost out to Frozen's "Let It Go").
Timberlake's fellow Trolls cast members Gwen Stefani, Anna Kendrick and James Corden all appear in the video which you can watch above.
This is one of three original songs the showman has provided for the film; the soundtrack will also include a duet with co-star Kendrick on Cyndi Lauper track "True Colours."
If you're still under any doubt this is "Happy" 2.0, just look at the Pharrell-lite hat JT has donned for the occasion; make the most of enjoying this tune, people, because - by September - you'll probably never want to hear it again.
All together now: "Nothing I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance, dance..."
