Kanye West: Snippet of new track from Waves leaks, lyrics appear to blast Amber Rose
'My ex said she gave me the best years of her life / I saw a recent picture of her, guess she was right'

Yeezy season is fast approaching, with So Help Me God - sorry I mean Swish - Oh wait, I mean Waves set for release in February.
So far, Kanye West has released high-quality versions of ’No More Parties in LA’ and ‘Real Friends’, while a snippet of a new, currently unnamed track, has leaked online.
In the slow jam, Dr. West raps: “My ex said she gave me the best years of her life / I saw a recent picture of her, guess she was right.” Listen below.

Many have seen this as ‘throwing shade’ at ex-partner Amber Rose, the 38-year-old having mentioned her by name in his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar ’No More Parties in LA’.
The lyrics to that track go: “I remember Amber told my boy no matter what happens she ain’t going back to Philly / Back to our regularly scheduled programming’ / Of weak content and slow jammin’ / But don’t worry, this one’s so jamming’ / You know it, L.A., it’s so jamming’.” Listen below.
On numerous occasions Kanye has taken pot shots at Rose, saying in an interview with The Breakfast Club: “If Kim had dated me when I wanted, there would be no Amber Rose.”
Although he may have a tough exterior, according to a handwriting expert who analysed the Waves track-listing announcement, Kanye “cares what others think and masks a sensitive persona”.
Slightly at odds with his bravado lyrics then? Waves is out 11 February.
