Kasabian and the Courteeners to headline Teenage Cancer Trust 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall

Kasabian and the Courteeners have been announced as the first two headliners for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall.

Since 2000, artists and comedians have performed at the storied London venue to raise money for young cancer patients. The shows help the Teenage Cancer Trust provide 28 specialist cancer units and over 60 nursing and support staff in NHS hospitals around the UK.

The event was conceived and curated by honorary patron - The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey - who still plays a role in the shows each year.

"I'm really pleased to announce the first shows for the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall next March," he said. "This will be the 18th year of these concerts for the charity.

"Courteeners will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their seminal album St Jude by performing the album in full. They are doing one show in Manchester and we can't thank them enough for choosing Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall as their London show. It's going to be a very special night."

He added: "It's great to be welcoming back Kasabian, they have been fantastic supporters of this charity since they first headlined for us back in 2007."

Courteeners play the Royal Albert Hall on 23 March 2018, and Kasabian will headline on 24 March. Tickets go on sale on Friday 15 December at 9am.
