Liam Gallagher performs 'Soapersonic' while washing his hands

Liam Gallagher is the latest star to join in encouraging people to wash their hands in an attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus.

In a series of videos shared to his Twitter account, Liam is shown singing as he washes his hands in his kitchen sink.

Reworking Oasis hit ”Wonderwall”, which he renamed “Wonderwash”, he sings: “Today’s gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you/ By now you should have somehow realised what you’ve got to do/ Wash your hands, scrub your toes/ Scratch your arse and pick your nose/ C’mon, you know.”

For “Supersonic” (”Soapersonic”), he sings: “I need to be myself/ I can’t be no one else/ I’m feeling soapersonic/ Give me gin and tonic/ You can have it all but how much do you want it/ Wash your hands you little f***ers.”

He then renamed “Champagne Supernova” to “Champagne Soapernova” and tweeted: “Thank you all for washing and I’ll see you down the road LG x.”

Earlier this week, Liam tried to ease fans’ concerns about self-isolating by joking that he and his estranged brother Noel have been doing it for years.

“Me n Rkid have been self isolating for 10 years c’mon a couple of months ain’t f***ing hurt,” he tweeted.
